Ooh! The manga pictures are nifty. I wish I could draw like these artists. But alas...
Anyway, this area has some of Leila's favorite paintings from the manga and anime she likes. There's mostly manga paintings here because they are niftier. Let's begin, shall we?
*moves to the first painting*
the Troopers
This is a painting from Yoroiden: Samurai Troopers, aka Ronin Warriors. It's Leila's favorite painting of them. It shows the troopers in regular outfits--versus having them in their armors. From the top, it's Ryo; Touma, with the blue hair; Shin, with light brown hair; Seiji, "the blond whose hair defies all laws of physics and large amounts of water"--that's how Leila likes to describe him; and Shu at the very bottom.
*turns to the next transit map and nameplate*
Rezo and Zel
This is from the Slayers manga by...Shoko Yoshinaka, I think. It shows Zel, the guy in the upper left corner casting a spell, and Rezo, the one in the lower right corner. Leila, Yosei-chan, and I find this series absolutely hilarious! If you like anime, this is a must see. But not the dub. The dub is pathetic. The subtitled version is so much better.
*walks a little farther down to another transit map but a door materializes not far from him and a small person pops out*
Leila! Where have you been?! We have visitors!
*the girl turns to you and smiles shyly*
Hi. I was just coming here to see how the redecorating is coming. Are you taking the tour? I hope you've enjoyed yourselves so far.
*glances at the transit map nearest you and Ryu-chan*
Marron-chan
That's from the Bakuretsu Hunter, aka Sorceror Hunters, manga. His name is Marron. And he doesn't normally look like that. That's an SD--super-deformed--version of him. He's actually quite tall and
*exasperated sigh
* many girls have a crush on him. Even though he's a make-believe character. Go figure. But that's my favorite pic of him. He looks so
kawaii in this picture! Oh,
kawaii is japanese for "cute", like you would say to a little kid or something.
*glances at her watch*
Oh, no! I was supposed to meet Uni-chan 5 minutes ago. She's gonna kill me!
*waves bye and disappears through the same door she appeared from which promptly vanishes*
And that was Leila. Even for a human, she's a little...what does Andy-chan call it?...eccentric? Anyways, onto the next painting.
the Magic Knights
This is from the Magic Knight Rayearth Illustration Collection 1 artbook by CLAMP. It shows the Magic Knights in their most powerful form--their armors evolve with their level of power. The one on the left is Umi, she controls the element of Water. In the middle is Hikaru, she controls Fire. And Fuu is on the right, she controls Wind and Healing.
Well, I'm afraid that's all the paintings we have for now. Leila has thousands of paintings that she says she will look through and give me some more to hang. But, well...she's lazy, so it may be awhile.
Well, please feel free to look around more. Or if you wish to go back to the main world, you can use the transit. Hope you enjoyed yourself!
*walks past a couple of empty frames and disappears through a door*
