Demonology 101
This is a very good online comic done by a very talented girl named Faith. It's hard to describe in a single sentence so we're leaving it at this: 15-year-old-ish demon girl raised by ex-son of family that has been serving/ruling demonkind for a really long time has to deal with demons wanting to do really mean things to her, her family (the ex-son father-ish guy raising her), and her friends (a mischevious, watermelon-exploding girl; the mischevious girl's sidekick that attempts to sort of keep her in line; and others I don't feel like describing but are really cool people). Oh, just go read it. Story's good, art's nifty, go read.
Ghost 2138
Very interesting comic about a strange guy whose daydreams are starting to come true, a cat-human hybrid who's in deep trouble with mad ultra-powerful psycho who unleased a once-dead-now-sort-of-alive magic mummy thing (very not nice people), and this police officer type guy who is...just very strange. All around, a very good comic, even though I'm kinda wondering how the first two (strange guy and cat-hybrid woman) tie in with the police officer. But I think that's coming soon. Or maybe I missed it. Oh, well, go read anyways. Is good. A little mature content. Nothing too terribly bad, but still. Away with you kiddies!
Ghost Hunters
New comic to steal my time! Tis cool. Lesse, there's a little boy, Roi, who can summon the Forest Spirit (not a common thing for old people, much less little people); there's the Spirit of Death who gets possessed by the Spirit of Sin (his brother. nice family.) to do these bad things; Salena, a woman warrior who is rebelling against the army that took over her land and ended up travelling with Roi (Forest Spirit Summoning boy); Dandellion, a Ghost Huntress who enjoys making money; and Timmy, Dandellion's "older" brother who's actually a ghost. The story is pretty good, the art is really pretty, yet one more that you must go read.
Kagerou
Schizo boy falls down, hits head, gets attacked by an eviscerated voodoo doll, and then it gets really weird. Be warned, there is some mature content in here. Not horribly bad, but no peeking kids.
Return to Sender
There is a mail slot on the wall of Often's new appartment. Behind the mail slot is a wall. Despite this, Often still gets mail through it. It's actually a very funny story. I like Colette. She's funny. (And a lot like Leila, scary thought that is.)
SkyFall
This is a very well-drawn comic. The characters are well done and the story's pretty good. Short version is two races are fighting a war over stuff (land, I think) The SkyFall SD manga is great too. It's main purpose seems to be pure silliness and bishonen (pretty/hot/cute/whatever guys) and does it's job quite well. However, I must warn you that you will probably want to read the disclaimer before you go reading the main comic. Leila is pretty much do-whatever-you-want-just-don't-include-me-in-it when it comes to...well, pretty much everything. So she has no problem with boy-boy relationships or people's views on religion, but you might. So read the disclaimer. We haven't seen much of either so fair. A few mentions of the relationship and nothing of the religion yet, so... Either way, this is still a very good and well done comic that should be read and enjoyed.
Sluggy Freelance
An online comic strip that gets updated just about everyday. It's absolutely hilarious. I wouldn't recommend reading it at work unless you're okay with getting strange looks from your coworkers as you bust out laughing. Other than that...it's a must read.
Strings of Fate
This comic is about the Chinese Zodiac symbols and stuff, but if you don't know anything about it (like Leila), don't worry, she explains what needs explaining when it needs explaining and the rest you don't really need to know. Though she does hold back sometimes, so Leila was wondering for a chapter or two who one random guy was, but she explained it, so it's better.
the commuter
By a guy named Paul. Leila loves the squirrels. I love the squirrels. You should read it just for the squirrels. I know that sounds strange, but you'll see what I'm talking about when you read it. By the way, there's 8 semesters of his comics, but the first 4 got lost. Start at the 5th semester. It'll make a bit more sense.
Third Wish
Basil turns 18, releasing an old family blessing/curse: he gets three wishes. Only there's one minor drawback. After his third wish, he dies...or goes stark raving looney toons insane and then dies. Two wishes already used up, he has to find a way to stay sane and alive. That's where Himitsu comes in. Art is good, story is good. Go read.
TimeScapes
A blond who acts like it is given a mystical Timesphere and charged with the task of keeping a pair of demons with another Timesphere from mucking around in the past to change the future to one where the demons rule. (Someone seriously lost their mind when they decided to give this girl the task.) To aid the blond priestess Jenna (since the only thing she can do is theoretically heal and cast a "Sparkling Light Bubbles" spell that...doesn't really do much) is her cynical dragon familiar Dolosus, a bodyguard with some issues named Raigi, and a cute kid from the past who can do big magics named Kyla. The bad guys trying to muck up the past are an extremely violent demon name Kimuri and a shadow-manipulating seductress working for Lord Darkness named Xenith. Then there's Avalon, a mysterious Ancient that gave the Timesphere to Jenna and Undel, a Shifter who gave the Timesphere to Kimuri. I'm not clear if Avalon and Undel are good or bad or what. But that doesn't matter. The story is great, the art is cool, and the characters are wonderful. Leila's favorite is Kimuri. She finds him absolutely hilarious. Anyway, go look, read, laugh, and enjoy.
tuesday
Funny random little almost-stick figure like people doing stuff. (Leila's wonderfully descriptive, isn't she?) Hasn't been updated in a while, but they are still very cute.
Utukki
This comic is great. Yet one more to steal yet more time away from Leila. The story revolves mostly around some Babylonian mythology people (Ishtar, goddess of love and war; some Utukki brothers that are demons; Namtar, god of death and disease (currently trapped in the form of a rat); and various other beings). Anyway, Jason and Erik were nice, normal people (albeit they have really nifty purple eyes...like some Utukki demons we've heard mention of) who enjoyed being nice normal people until Brittany (aka Kulitta, former priestess of Ishtar bent on freeing her Utukki lover, Ki) goes and frees Ki...who turns out to be Jason. And it's actually a really good story. Leila knows nothing of Babylonian mythology, but you don't really need to for this story. Oh, and if you do read this one (which we suggest you do), there's a really funny scene with Jason, Erik, a spatula, a whisk, and a duel to the "death". Much laughter there.
Van Von Hunter
Heh. This is a weird comic. Okay, so we have Van Von Hunter who loves to hunt evil things. Then we have his yet-to-be-named female travelling companion that just kind of tagged along and often gets used as the damsel in distress (much to her dislike). And then there's this evil prince guy who is known (thanks to a blunder by an underling) as The Flaming Prince (he wanted Prince of Flames). It's very silly and very funny. Go read.
